Nothing excites me more than the challenge of translating a brand's essence into a physical space, but it's in the middle of COVID-19 and London is on lockdown.
At this time I was working at Glossier’s pop-up store in Covent Garden, but then Covid hit and like everyone else I had to adapt to the confines of my house. Eventually, as time went on I missed working at Glossier.
So I decided to create a space inspired by Glossier's Cloud Paints, a seamless, buildable gel-cream blush famous for its subtle, dewy finish.
Bare in mind I had never done anything like this before; like everyone else taking up hobbies in their free time, I was designing my glossier set.
Usually, set designing involves spacious studios, large teams, and many resources. However, with the onset of the global pandemic, like everyone else, I had to adapt quickly to a new way of working. My basement became my studio; with limited space, it challenged me to be more innovative and resourceful than ever before.
The theme of my set was to create a Glossier Tea Room/Brunch featuring the blushes’ colours “Puff, Dusk, Dawn and Beam" I noticed that together it reminded me of the perfect sunset and I based everything on that
When I was finished I wasn’t happy with the final result but it inspired me to design a Glossier Nike trainer inspired by the blushes.
Fast forward years later, Glossier Renews and Expands its Partnership With WNBA, I decided to showcase my work from a time when I decided to explore my passion for creating a brand identity that involves a physical space and a product.
